This past Friday we went to Gettysburg. Every year July 1st-3rd they do the reenactment of the battle fought there during the Civil War. It was so cool to listen to all the history and stories we were told by the people "acting" as someone from that time. We try to go there a decent amount, but during this time of year it is a lot of fun. The history is just amazing, and to be standing where the soldiers fought and some died is so special. Words can't express it, you have to visit there yourself. The kids had a great time like always and they were so good the whole time. I am so blessed with such amazingly Awesome kids!... And the BEST hubby in the world, I could spend all day everyday with all of them! Okay, sorry to get off subject =) These were all taken inside an old boxcar.

The boys wanted to load this up to see if it still worked! umm... not gonna happen guys!

Bethanee thought their dresses were really cool, she talked this poor girls ear off.

These people performed a fake amputation of Bethanee's wrist. (showed us how they did it in the Civil War times) The boys got to help out and they thought that was the best! They even had a bucket with fake hands and feet in it that they would drop the parts in after they amputated them. We ended up staying and talking with these people for over an hour, they had so much knowledge and a bunch of cool Civil War artifacts.

The boys didn't want to give this a try. I guess after teasing Bethanee that we were gonna leave her here the boys didn't want to test it ;)

I LOVE THIS FAMILY!!! =)
